Rawnsley Park Station

Our beloved home for more than 9 years, the experience we gained working here was second to none. The fantastic work colleagues and amazing guests made working here just simply amazing, then the incredible scenery, absolutely phenomenal geological and fossil history, and wildlife make this location a must do for anybody's bucket list. If you love the outback you can't go past visiting the iconic Rawnsley Park Station.

Great base to explore the Flinders

I was staying in an unpowered site in beautiful Rawnsley Station caravan park with mountain backdrop, surrounded by wildlife (kangaroos, wallabies, emus, birds). A stunning view to wake up to! The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accomodating, with lots of great advice on the best ways to explore the area. DOG FRIENDLY!! My Kelpie stayed in the kennel for a day so I could explore the National park, and was very happy. Staff were very helpful even when I arrived back much later than anticipated. Very clean and easily amenities, including showers, communal kitchen (with BBQ, stoves, microwave, kettle etc) laundry, water available, a small grocer with lamb available from the Station, and a petrol bowser to fill up big days of driving.

Caravan park very good and excellent tour

Well presented and managed. Easy access to Wilpena Pound. We also went on a half day 4WD gorges tour which was very informative. Learned a lot more than doing it yourself unless you've got lots of time to do a lot of reading. Lots of ancient history here. Not sure what the caravan park would be like at peak times because they report sometimes having very large numbers.
