Role Summary:
The Relief Manager is a crucial role responsible for temporarily overseeing the management of a caravan park. This position requires a blend of operational expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional leadership skills. The Relief Manager will ensure the seamless operation of the park, maintaining high standards of service and guest experience during periods of management transition or absence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of the caravan park, ensuring smooth functioning in all areas including guest services, site maintenance, and staff management.
- Financial Management: Handle budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting for the park, ensuring profitability and fiscal responsibility.
- Customer Service Excellence: Uphold our commitment to exceptional guest service, addressing and resolving guest queries and issues promptly.
- Staff Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage the park staff, ensuring a high level of performance, efficiency, and morale.
- Compliance and Safety Management: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Marketing and Business Development: Implement and oversee marketing strategies and promotional activities to maintain and increase park occupancy and visibility.
- Facility Management: Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of park facilities and accommodation units, ensuring they meet our quality standards.
- Emergency Handling: Effectively manage emergency situations, ensuring guest safety and minimizing disruption to park operations.
Qualifications:
- We have proven management experience in the hospitality or tourism industry, with a focus caravan park management.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Experience with both RMS and Newbook.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Financial acumen with experience in budget management and reporting.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and safety standards.
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage in varying environments and locations.
- Ability to handle pressure and make decisive decisions in emergency situations.
